Latin Heat Comes to Grand Rapids!
A new band has exploded onto the jazz scene! Grupo Ayé will perform their super-hot Salsa & Latin Jazz on April 16 as part of the popular Latino Culture Show at University of Michigan. You'll want to bring your dancing shoes!
Grupo Ayé is the brainchild of Robert Mulligan, who spent three years seeking the just-right combination of musicians to produce the sound that is Ayé.
Yes, the band is new, but it's ten members are all seasoned performers. Their combined jazz and latin music experience is enormous and includes performances with such noted artists as Pat Metheny, Tito Puente, Wynton Marsalis, Celia Cruz, Aretha Franklin, Harry Chapin, Jr., Englebert Humperdink and Paquito Rivera.
